Care

Every garment is made from premium materials by hand, we want them to be heirloom pieces that last years and can be handed down through generations.
There are some simple steps to ensure your piece lasts and stays perfect.

Handknitted cardigans/jumpers

Always wash your knits on a 30 degree, low spin setting, NEVER tumble dry or iron.

The best way to wash your knits is to pop them inside a pillow case inside out, this protects them from getting snagged on other items. I recommend not using fabric conditioner, as this can soften the fabric so much that the knots can become loose.

Whilst wet, gently pull the knit into shape and leave to dry flat (cotton can take a while to dry so please be patient).

If you have a liberty collar, the easiest way to make this lay flat again is to use straighteners to manipulate it in place whilst it’s still warm.

100% cotton items can be gently steamed.

Handknitted stockings

These are decoration purposes only, please ensure they are kept out of reach of children and pets (pets love a Pom Pom!).

The fleck stockings do contain 10% wool, the tassels contain a variety of different fibres.

Handknitted jellycat jumpers

These are for decoration purposes only, please ensure they are kept out of reach of children & a child is never left unattended with them. They can be washed on a 30 degree, low cycle wash, do not tumble dry!

Preloved items

Handknitted preloved items are delicate and I would recommend handwashing due to the nature of the knit, whilst I can guess the fibres used in the knits these are only a guide. They are mostly 100% acrylic which the exception of some that contain wool, if you believe they contain wool please ensure you hand wash only. Do not tumble dry!

If in doubt please reach out to me. I want everyone’s order to be perfect for years to come!
